Shopee vs Lazada vs TikTok Shop: Where Should You Buy?
- No platform is always cheapest. Compare the final total, with vouchers and shipping, on all three.
- Shopee has the widest selection and the most voucher sources.
- Lazada's LazMall is strong for branded electronics, appliances and beauty.
- TikTok Shop can be cheapest during livestreams, but quality varies more.
- All three protect you only when you pay inside the app.
The same phone case, the same tumbler, the same serum, listed on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop at three different prices. Which one do you buy from? There's no permanent winner, and anyone who tells you one platform is always cheapest hasn't compared them on a real cart. What you can learn is what each platform tends to be good at, so you know where to look first.

The short version
Shopee is the everyday default for a lot of people, with a huge range of sellers, frequent vouchers, coins and free shipping offers. Lazada is strong for branded items through LazMall, and some shoppers prefer how its refunds usually return to the original payment method. TikTok Shop is where trends and live selling happen, with occasional very low prices during livestreams and less predictable quality from seller to seller.
For anything over a few hundred pesos, the habit that saves the most money is simple: check the same item on all three before paying, after vouchers and shipping.

Shopee
Shopee's strength is range. Almost anything you search for has dozens of sellers, which is great for prices and terrible for decision fatigue. Vouchers come from everywhere: the platform, the shops, free shipping offers, games and live streams, and coins add a small discount on top. The weakness is the flip side of the range. There are a lot of sellers of uneven quality, so the seller check matters more here. Our guide to stacking Shopee vouchers covers how to get the most out of checkout.
Lazada
Lazada's LazMall is a big part of its appeal, especially for electronics, appliances and branded beauty products, where buying from an official store lowers the risk of fakes and makes warranty claims easier. Lazada also runs frequent brand campaigns and livestream vouchers. Some shoppers prefer Lazada for refunds because they usually go back to the card or wallet you paid with. See our Lazada voucher guide for how its discounts combine.
TikTok Shop
TikTok Shop is built around discovery. You see a product in a video or a live, tap the yellow basket, and buy without leaving the app. Prices during livestreams can be very low, and creator vouchers add more. The catch is that the format pushes impulse buying, and quality varies a lot between sellers. Slow down, check the seller and compare prices before the countdown timer talks you into something. Our list of viral TikTok finds looks at what's worth it, and our guide to TikTok Shop shipping vouchers covers delivery costs.
Which is cheapest?
It changes by item and by day. A few patterns hold up reasonably well, though. Small, cheap items, like the ones in our kitchen gadgets under ₱500 list, are often cheapest where shipping is free for your cart, since a ₱60 delivery fee can erase a ₱40 price difference. Branded electronics tend to have similar prices across official stores, and the real differences come from bank promos and platform vouchers during sales. Trending beauty and fashion items sometimes hit their lowest prices during TikTok live selling. And for anything expensive, check whether a cheaper listing is a different variation, a refurbished unit or an unofficial seller before you celebrate.
The best way to compare is to put the item in your cart on each app, apply the vouchers you actually have, and look at the final total including shipping.
Safety and buyer protection
All three hold your payment until the order is complete when you pay through their checkout, and all three have return and refund processes. The rules and windows differ, so read the policy on the order page. Our returns and refunds guide covers the steps on each platform. The one rule that applies everywhere: don't pay a seller outside the app, no matter what they offer. See our guide to online shopping scams for why.
Our take
Keep all three apps if you shop online often. Start your search wherever you usually do, but check the other two for anything over a few hundred pesos. Use official stores for branded items, compare final totals instead of headline prices, and time big purchases for the double-day sales. Our sale calendar shows when those are.
