How to Use Lazada Vouchers and LazCoins: A Philippines Guide

Shopee gets most of the attention when people talk about voucher stacking, but Lazada has its own set of discounts, and a lot of shoppers leave them unused. Store vouchers, platform vouchers, free shipping, LazCoins and bank promos can often work on the same order. It just takes a minute at checkout to make sure they're actually applied.

This is how Lazada vouchers generally work, where to find them, and the mistakes that cost people money. Lazada changes its voucher rules, caps and campaign mechanics often, so treat the checkout screen as the final word on what applies to your cart.

The kinds of discounts on Lazada

Store vouchers come from the seller. You'll see them on the store page or the product page, often as "₱X off when you spend ₱Y." LazMall brands and big sellers tend to release more of them during campaigns, and some are only for followers.

Platform vouchers come from Lazada and work across many stores, usually with a minimum spend and a cap. These show up most during big sale events, on campaign pages and in the vouchers section of the app.

Free shipping vouchers reduce or remove the delivery fee, usually above a minimum spend. They're handy when you're buying several small items.

LazCoins are earned through check-ins, games and missions in the app, and some products let you use them for a discount. Like Shopee Coins, they're best used rather than saved.

Livestream vouchers are released during Lazada's live shows, sometimes for a short time only. If you follow a brand that goes live often, these can be worth catching.

Bank and payment promos are discounts or cashback for paying with a particular card or wallet. They often have their own codes, caps and registration requirements. See our guide to credit card promos.

Step by step at checkout

1. Claim before you check out. Collect store vouchers from the shop page and platform vouchers from the campaign or vouchers section. Unclaimed vouchers usually won't apply.
2. Add items and check the minimum spend. Each voucher has its own threshold, and store vouchers usually only count items from that store.
3. Review the voucher fields at checkout. Lazada often applies the best available vouchers automatically, but check what it picked. A bigger percentage can come with a lower cap.
4. Apply coins if the item allows it.
5. Pick your payment method last. If a bank or wallet promo is running, it may only apply when you pay with that card or wallet.
6. Read the final total before placing the order, and screenshot it.

When Lazada discounts are biggest

Like Shopee, Lazada's biggest vouchers usually arrive with the double-day campaigns (9.9, 10.10, 11.11, 12.12) and payday sales around the 15th and 30th. Some vouchers can be collected before the sale starts, and popular ones run out, so claim early. Lazada also runs campaigns where you can pay a small deposit in advance to lock in a sale price on selected items. Mistakes that cost money

Splitting a cart without thinking. Store vouchers apply per store and platform vouchers per checkout. Sometimes combining items into one checkout unlocks a better voucher. Sometimes it doesn't. Compare.

Adding things just to hit a minimum. It only makes sense if the extra saving is bigger than the cost of what you add, and if you'd use the item anyway.

Ignoring the cap. "20% off" capped at ₱100 is worth ₱100 on a ₱2,000 cart, not ₱400.

Forgetting the voucher's expiry. Campaign vouchers often expire the same day or within days. A voucher returned after a cancellation may already be expired.

Trusting codes from random pages. Use vouchers from inside the Lazada app and from official brand or bank pages. Never enter your login, OTP or card details on a site that promises "exclusive" Lazada codes.

Lazada or Shopee for this purchase?

Often the same item is available on both, at different prices once vouchers and shipping are counted. During big sales, it's worth checking both apps before you pay.
